Hyderabad will no longer be the common capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from June 2, 2024

Hyderabad will no longer be the common capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh from June 2, 2024. The Telangana government anticipates progress on pending promises, including the establishment of educational institutions, a steel factory in Bayyaram, and a rail coach factory in Kazipet. Despite discussions, the division of assets and the allotment of All India Service officers remain unresolved, leading to legal disputes. The state government will now assume powers related to law and order in the common capital area, as Governor Tamilisai Soundarrajan's involvement becomes unnecessary.
